Chapter 120 Northern New Jersey - March Family Activities

Come join us for one of our exciting March Family Activities.

MARCH 9 – SUNDAY – INSTALLATION BRUNCH –BLACK RIVER BARN – NOON – 2PM Let’s meet and greet our new Board Members. Adults $18.00. Children 4 – 10 $11.00. Under 4 free. (Prices include tax & gratuity.) Chapter children will be subsidized cost of their meal. From 12:15 – 12:30 p.m., Shirley will lead a discussion with the children about “How PWP Helps You Grow into A Better Person.” Please call Shirley by 3/5.

MARCH 9 – SUNDAY – RINGLING BROS. CIRCUS – MEADOWLANDS – LATE AFTERNOON – TBD We can carpool to the Meadowlands from the Park-N-Ride Lot 33 at the Rockaway Township Mall. Call Carol D.K. by 2/26. Prior to the performance, Carol will
lead a 15-min. discussion on “What Do You Think You Will Like Best About The Circus?" We are trying to get group tickets so, we’ll need an exact headcount and admission $$$ ASAP to order tickets. Chapter children will be subsidized for cost of ticket & $3 LEO.

MARCH 14 -FRIDAY.– CHUCK-E-CHEESE – WAYNE (1639 ROUTE 23) – 7:00 PM – END Come out, have fun and meet other single parents & their kids. Chapter kids will be subsidized pizza, soda & $5 for the games. From 7:15-7:30, Tami will lead a discussion on “Which Pizza Toppings Are Healthy – Do You Eat Them?” Call Tami by 3/10 since we need to reserve enough table space.

MARCH 15 - SATURDAY–SNOW TUBING – “OPEN” - TANNERSVILLE, PA – TIME: TBD WEATHER PERMITTING Snowtubing is fun for all ages. Adm.: $18 for ½ day/$22 for full day. Subsidy for chapter children: $10 per child plus $3/snack. (Of course, if your children are experienced skiers, they can use their subsidy towards skiing.) We’ll be carpooling from the Park-N-Ride Lot 33 at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall. Bring a brown bag lunch and a thermos of coffee/hot chocolate. Prior to going down for our first slide, Tami will discuss “Winter Safety” with the children. Call Tami by Wed. 3/12.

MARCH 16 – SUNDAY – DISCOVERY HOUSE , EAST BRUNSWICK– TIME: TBD
Hands on museum for kids through age 10. Adults & Children $6.50. Under 18 months are free. Chapter kids will be subsidized admission cost & $3 LEO. Call Tami by Wed. 3/12 to join us.

MARCH 21 -FRIDAY -MONOPOLY MADNESS - LAKE HOPATCONG AREA 7-11 PM
It's Game night for the kid's - Jonathan will host chapter children for an evening of Monopoly. From 7 – 7:15 PM, Shirley will lead a discussion “Are you a good sport?” with the children. Other board games also available. Pizza, chips and soda/juice provided. Please call Shirley by Mon., 3/17.

MARCH 22 - SATURDAY,– RAIN FOREST CAFÉ’ – “OPEN” – EDISON – 6:30PM - END Chapter 120 children will be subsidized for age appropriate menu item & beverage (not to exceed $10). From 6:30 – 6:45 PM., Carol will discuss “Why Should We Preserve The Rain Forest” with the children. Please call Carol D.K by 3/19.

MARCH 28 – FRIDAY- CHILDREN OF SINGLES – LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED – 7:30- 9:00 PM Let’s Play! Bring a board game, crayons, whatever. We’ll find something fun to do while the adults talk (They are good at that!) We will enjoy “munchies” and beverages. We are looking for “teenage” helpers to watch over the kiddies and maybe do a craft with them. Call Shirley by 3/21.

MARCH 30 - SUNDAY - BOWLING AT BUTLER LANES - 1:00- 3:00 PM
Don’t know what to do with the kids on Sunday after church? Let's get our bowling shoes on and have some fun. We can join in or enjoy watching the kids. From 1:00 – 1:15, Tami will show the children “How To Keep Score.” $3.50/per game. Chapter kids will be subsidized for two games of bowling and LEO/snack will be $3 per child. Call Tami by Wed 3/26 to join in the fun. The lanes are on Rt. 23 South, Kinnelon.
